Hello again. Working on a new project with Nani Steele, and she creates the most simple, incredible tastes and flavors with her dishes. And she works like a true artist. It's like a Jackson Pollock painting in your mouth. Or like that scene in 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory', where Violet eats the three-course meal piece of gum and is shouting names of the dishes she tastes. Like this: cinnamon! cardamom! fennel! honey! spicy! sweet! delicious!
All these polaroids with a poem by William Carlos Williams:
I have eaten
the plums
that were in
the icebox
and which
you were probably
saving
for breakfast
Forgive me
they were delicious
so sweet
and so cold

you're the best, Miss Sara. So awesome to work with-a poet with film, yourself. the collaboration is truly important, none of this would work without your eye
and sensibility. Brava!!
Where do I start? Love the photos, the simple dessert and the art metaphors. Your blog is simply stunning!
I love this! Beautiful, simple and inspiring!
ann
well, you have done it again, in poem, image, word.
I am compelled now to drop everything and run into the kitchen, start up a batch of fruit jam (apricots are waiting!) while photographing, painting, and writing about it all at the same time!
You are a true artist, Sara, and inspire us all to stay connected to the source.
Your work and your blog are so delicious! :)
